Federal National Finance Corporation (“FNFC”) was incorporated in 1988 as a mortgage banking firm specializing in commercial leased, owner-user, and multi-family properties. We are based out of Castle Rock, CO and still owned and managed by one of the original principals. We are proud to be a family company that values relationships and small business. FNFC is a correspondent or an approved lender for several major insurance companies, banks, and many other capital sources. Although focused in the Rocky Mountain Region, we regularly and consistently procure, processes and close loans on commercial leased buildings in all geographic areas of the United States.
FNFC is a member of the Mortgage Bankers Association and is bonded by Bankers Trust Insurance. FNFC has been an invited selected conference sponsor lender and speaker at National Council of Exchangors (a national non-profit association for real estate). Further, FNFC is a member and former sponsor of the Association of United States Postal Lessors (AUSPL provides education and training by making available experts who provide services for lessors needs to better manage their investments for USPS, GSA, VA, and other similar lease types).
Our Team
Jay Belk, President
As President and Founder of FNFC, he oversees day-to-day activities including loan production, accounting, management, sales, loan servicing, underwriting, and loan closings. Jay has personally arranged financing on commercial properties in 35 states and Puerto Rico, with an estimate collective property value in excess of $1 Billion. Jay also has extensive experience in real estate development, management and ownership. He has owned and/or developed multiple office, GSA, multi-family, industrial, and special-use properties.
When Jay is not working, he enjoys spending time with his wife and family doing various outdoor activities including, camping, fishing, and hunting. He is currently an Elder at Creekside Bible Church in Castle Rock, CO.
Jeremy Belk, CFA, Vice President
In his role as Vice President, Jeremy primarily works on loan origination and underwriting. He also has an active roll in investment analysis, financial modeling for clients, and property management. Prior to Federal National, Jeremy was employed for 6 years at Integrity Wealth Advisors in Colorado Springs first as a Financial Analyst and then as the Investment Officer. Jeremy spent his time conducting financial and statistical analysis on private credit, private equity, and real estate investments for investments for high net worth individuals. He also worked as the lead analyst for an in-house Business Development Company and REIT.
Jeremy received his BS in Business Administration from Nebraska Wesleyan University in 2014 and earned his Charted Financial Analyst® designation in 2021. In his free time he and his wife enjoy various outdoor activities including scuba diving, skiing and snowboarding, fishing, hiking, and hunting.
Brandon Belk, Vice President
In his role as Vice President, Brandon coordinates underwriting and due diligence for commercial mortgages. Brandon also focuses on FNFC’s property leasing, brokerage, as he is a licensed real estate broker in the state of Colorado. Brandon previously worked at CoBank as an Internal Auditor. His experience includes evaluating and auditing credit, investments, and financial reporting.
Brandon received his bachelor’s degree in Finance from Colorado State University with a concentration in Investments and Corporate Analysis. Brandon enjoys traveling with his wife and spending time with his friends and family. He also enjoys staying active through golf, hiking, and fitness.
